WElcome to fifth grade

Hello! My name is Madelyn Spindler, and I am a first-year teacher at St. Joe School. It has been a pleasure getting to know the students and their families.
I am from Fort Branch, Indiana, and have grown up in Gibson County my entire life. I attended Holy Cross for elementary school, St. James for middle school, and graduated from Gibson Southern High School in 2021. After high school, I attended the University of Southern Indiana, where I discovered the lasting impact teachers have on children and felt reaffirmed in my calling to become an educator. I graduated from USI in the fall of 2024 with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. Outside of school, I enjoy being involved in my parish, St. Bernard Snake Run. There, I serve as Vice President of the Altar Society and teach Kindergarten/First Grade religious education. I also love coaching volleyball and watching sports in my free time. I am so excited to continue working at St. Joe School. It is a privilege every day to share my faith with the children. My Catholic faith is the most important part of my life, and I am deeply grateful to be in a place where I can share both my passion for teaching and my faith. I strive to create a classroom where every child feels valued, safe, and loved. |
